SIMTEC, due to its continuous expansion is looking for a hard-working and well-organized individual to undertake a Sales Engineer role in Athens or Thessaloniki office. The position will be focused on the academic and industrial market of Greece and Cyprus but also of other countries (e.g. Serbia, North Macedonia). The successful candidate will work in a team and will be initially highly supported through training, coaching, and mentoring from experienced colleagues with a view to gradually gain experience and take full ownership of sales, eventually building a successful long-term sales career. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop software sales skills in the Technology sector.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research within universities, institutes, and startups.
- Identify potential opportunities and support first contact with new prospects.
- Maintain regular contact with clients and develop new opportunities.
- Follow up swiftly on sales enquiries.
- Organize meetings for demonstrating Ansys part of Synopsys products to prospective clients.
- Create quotations and proposals and communicate them to customers.
- Identify customer needs and offer products accordingly.
- Attend industry events to generate business leads.
- Keeping accurate records of sales and data in CRM system according to company policies.
- After initial mentoring period gradually:
- Take ownership of the full sales cycle for assigned accounts.
- Expand responsibilities to more industrial customers.
- Communicate with all hierarchies of a company.
- Plan and execute sales strategies.
- Contribute to account and business planning and to forecasting.
Desired Qualifications
- A University degree in engineering is required.
- Excellent command of English and Greek language.
- 0- 2 years work experience in technical or sales positions.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to use own initiative.
- Discretion and confidentiality.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Knowledge of CAD/CAE software will be a plus.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Military obligations fulfilled.
- Ability to travel.
